It's probably not worth it on the current G35 platform.

But imagine this on the new Nissan GT-R that's coming out. It's already rumored at 450 HP in AWD form. Bump up the boost, do a few bolt ons, and you can have 550+ WHP easily, and with a very nice torque curve along with it.

i wouldnt count on a lot of vendors to jump on mods for a seventy thousand dollar car. any work done on the gtr would be custom work.

I really like this idea. I posted a thread asking if anyone had this setup in the FI forum as I didn't know this thread existed. But I'd love to see this on a G. There are many companies now looking to do this in Europe and possibly in America with their diesels for added power without killing fuel efficiency. Albeit most of them are putting out only a little more than 200 HP as they're small turbo's.

And I agree, this shouldn't be much - if any - more expensive than a TT setup.

Your partially wrong.

The engine out of the new GT-R is pretty much confirmed as a the next generation VQ motor. Nissan has already trademarked the next gen FX engines, which will produce more horespower, better emissions while retaining good fuel economy.

The GT-R has ONE key difference between other supercars of its price range. It's engine is the core of Nissans lineup, it's been said time and time again that the new GT-R motor is just a modified version of the FX engine, which in turn is an upgraded version of the VQ.

What does this mean? What can be done on the GT-R can be applied to any other nissan car using a similar engine. Does this mean you'll get a 500 WHP Nissan Altima because it uses an FX engine? Probably not. What it does mean is that every manufacturer who dumps money into research for the FX engine can get a decent return because the FX is the core of the nissan lineup.
