1st time at track, ran faster in Auto mode

OK, it was my first time running the car. I ran 14.45 in Automatic, then 14.56, and 14.57 in Manumatic mode. Shouldnt the car be faster in Manumatic? What am I doing wrong, what are the ideal shift points for each gear? I noticed that the car is at redline right at the end of the 1/4 mile, should I [censored] into 4th or let it stay at redline?

no that is correst auto mode will perduce the fastest numbers. HP acualy drops off after 6200 rpms. the auto will shift perfectly for u ever time while in manual mode this is more of a chance of human erro. Good luck

There are many. Anticipating an acceleration and shifting the tranny to lets say lower gear and then punching it when time comes. When you upgrade to the technosquare ecu you take advantage of the extra 500rpm redline increase. Its more fun.

manual mode is not manual tranny, you can use it to down shift the gear, rev up the rpm to pick up the speed to pass or go up a long hill without step on the gas too hard. that is the most cases I use.

definitely more fun. drove half a tank in auto and actually got bored of just driving around. switched to manumatic for second half... ... gas sure is expensive!
