Changing the fluids....

What does everyone recommend I put in my car as far as oil. I own a G35 Coupe. Is going to jiffylube OK or should I bring them my own oil filter and oil and what kinds if so and what model of oil filter? Thanks in advance.

your safe to use whatever oil they have but just know that most of the a$$clowns at jiffylube are pretty careless...
personally i go to walmart and get the 5 quart jug of MOBIL1 5W-30 full syn for $22 and change it myself.

I'd never take any of my car to those jiffy iffy places. They've had so many complaints. And most of their "techs" are HS drop outs, etc. young kids that are really careless about customer service.

I'd do as Gdup35sedan said. Pick up the Mobil 1 Synthic 5q jug from walmart, get the Mobil 1 synthetic Filter (forgot the model) from any local auto store that's good up to 7500 miles. Since my drivings are 50-50 mixed hwy and city, I'd change my oil every 5K miles.

Also, to make it easier, I bought the lazyman Fumoto oil change valve from www.lubricationspecialist.com - model F103 to make it easier when changing oil. Full DIY instruction can be found here:

It's very easy and straight forward. Have fun with the G.
