You can do the copper tube, but the plenum will still run hot due to a lot heat transfer through the lower manifold.

To make the plenum assembly run significantly cooler you need to cut off both sources of heat transfer.

Ok, so basically it wouldn't be worthwhile to just do the TB bypass? In your opinion, since I am getting the basic, is it worth paying $50 to get the Iso kit as well? I'm just kind of strapped w/ cash and would rather not pay the $50.

I just don't know how big of a difference the Iso kit really will do, so if I can save the $50, why not.

The Iso Thermal adds about 10% more overall gain to what the spacer does. So it depends on your priorities.

QUESTION...
i bought the skunk 2 plenum spacer 5/16 and it came with a coolant bypss but i didnt put it in. what does it do and should i put it in or just leave it as is???
