NJlakeshoreG - heh, all this iso crap is worth it. The iso thermal gasket feature is explained nicely on Motordyne's home page. It helps keep the plenum temps down, to keep your intake air charge cooler for better performance - as we know cooler air is denser air, and provides better performance. The copper throttle body warmer deal is a good feature for people living in colder climates who are exposed to more cold weather driving. I wouldn't recommend it for someone in Jersey though...

I'm thinking of going for a 1/2" over the 5/16". However, I'm curious why so many people opt for the 5/16" instead..? When you're trying to go fast and redlining each gear, top-end gains seems more efficient than overall gains throughout the whole rpm range since every gear after the initial launch in 1st gear would be starting at 4000 and higher. If I'm not trying to go fast, I'd stay in low RPMs and wouldn't care if I had 100 less HP. When I want to gun it and take off, I'd downshift to the appropriate lower gear, which would bring my RPM up to where the 1/2" dominates.
Am I missing something here..? I'm a bit surprised to see so many people going for the 5/16" instead of the 1/2".
Can someone help me clarify this..?

suho - Your theories are correct. ultimately, it would make sense to go with the spacer kit that provides the most power, and the primary difference between the two kits is the power delivery of the 1/2" being stronger in the top end of the rpm range.
This solution is ideal in the driving situation you provided. that situation is experienced primarily under performance driving situations like drag racing or track racing. Most people buying these spacer kits drive their cars on the street under "normal" driving conditions. And I use the term "normal" loosely here.
So, the benefits of the 5/16" spacer power delivery is more useful under normal conditions than the 1/2" spacer power delivery.
