Rare JDM at Redline Time Attack Test & Tune Day
This past Saturday I attended the Redline Time Attack Test & Tune Day, at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, CA. The car has undergone a lot of changes since the last time I raced, and it performed great!
Mods since last track day:
Built NA engine, Cosworth heads, Cosworth cams, Tomei headers, headlight CAI ducting, and APR GTC200 wing.
A couple more things are going to be added before the next event, and then I'll be entering the car to compete. Just a couple of pics and videos from the event-

Looks like so much fun, Zack!
Do you usually track with the windows open? Isn't the car more aerodynamic with them closed? I know it probably gets hot inside, but what if you just ran the air with no AC (if you haven't taken that out already
)?
Have you installed your 4.08 gears and valvebody upgrade?
For your paddle shifters, do you have the injection molded piece that goes underneath the steering wheel? Do the paddle shifters turn with the steering wheel?
Any plans for a BBK? I know the stock brakes tend to fade sort of quickly..
Sorry for all the questions.

Every event I've been to requires you to drive with the windows down (at least the front windows/or wherever a person is sitting). It would definitely be more aerodynamic with them up, but they must be down. We've been to a track day where it was 36 degrees outside and the windows had to be down... that sucked! I still have the AC, heater and radio since I daily drive car. I should be getting another car soon, and then all that stuff will be coming out as well.

We put the 4.08 gears in 3 days before the event, along with solid diff bushings. I currently don't have a valvebody upgrade, but it will be coming soon.
For your paddle shifters, do you have the injection molded piece that goes underneath the steering wheel? Do the paddle shifters turn with the steering wheel? I sent my prototype under panel to China for production, and the company disappeared. So I don't have any lower panel on my paddle shifters right now. The paddles are in a fixed position and do not rotate with the wheel, helping avoid any accidental shifting in hectic situations, and allowing me to always know where the paddles are located.

Actually, I upgraded the pads, fluid and lines and have had zero issues with the stock brakes. I was going about 130 towards the turn into the infield and mashing on the brakes to get down to about 65-70 to make the 90 degree left/right... brakes held up great all day. I also monitor the caliper temps, and they've always been within safe range.
I do plan on getting a BBK very soon though, as I'm working on a sponsorship.
Sorry for all the questions.
NP!
