The big rule is that you are not allowed to pass anyone.

I have done this event several times and its a lot of fun. They are not very strict on you slowing down and "catching back up" to the rest of the croud. I do this every time and have seen speeds of almost 140 at the end of turn two.

Its a huge rush and I highly recommend doing it at least once.

Last time I went, I started tailgating the pace car and he got up to 110. LOL

Good times, good times.

Oh man, some shots of the G35 in action at TMS would be so freaking insane...holy crap OMGWTFBBQ.

At TMS we can all meet outside in the parkinglot areas and then proceed through the gates together as a group. Imagine the sound of 20 VQ's at full roar on a race track....we should get video too!

I also just wanted to say, I think food and drinks after TMS is a good idea.

Cool thing about southlake center is that it's close and there are a lot of food options. Personally, I don't have much preference...I'll eat at whatever restaurant can accomodate us. I was also going suggest perhaps speedzone or dave and busters.

I haven't been to dave&busters, and I'm not even sure where exactly they are located in the metroplex. Seems that they offer food and entertainment, which is bueno.

Speedzone may be fun if the 3laps at TMS give you a taste of racing that you're not finished with yet after the run.

Theres also a place called studio movie and grill, they offer food and drinks in a theater setting...don't know if that will appeal to us as a group, but just putting it out there as an idea.

I'm not sure if it's faster for you ... but if you head straight west over to 121 then it's a straight shot down to the airport and then back up 114. Looks like about 49 miles for you give or take.

Like I said, I'd be willing to drive out to the North Dallas area (from Keller) to meet up if anyone will be rolling from out there!

There's a Red Hot & Blue in Southlake that should be able to accommodate us if Snuffer's can't.

Although there's a Hooters and Bone Daddy's a little farther down 114 at the intersection of 121 in Grapevine that we could always do as well!

Thanks guys.
First question is ... does 6 cars = 6 people??? Or is anyone planning on coming out with passengers as well?

I've already called around to a couple places but nobody really wants to take reservations for a Saturday night as one of their busiest nights. Many of the places inside the Southlake Town Center can be rather pricey so I narrowed it down to Snuffer's Bar & Grill that has an outdoor seating area or there is a Taco Diner that has a Tequila bar.

Southlake Town Center is a cool place to hang if you've never been there ... but there's always Hooters and Bone Daddy's a little farther down the road in Grapevine - I'm guessing we'd have a better chance of getting a large table at one of these places instead. I will see what they say about reserving some space...

Ok Jon. No worries about the dinner reservations. We will just head out somewhere for dinner and drinks after the track.

*UPDATE* It appears that the Car Club reservations from 5pm - 7pm are all booked (apparently have been booked for months).

What this means for us is that we will have to go out as part of the "Open to the Public" laps which start at 7pm. I think if we are there early we can get lined up to be the first group to go out after the car clubs finish. The lady I spoke to said they could finish early and the public would start right after. There are 12 -14 cars that go out per group.

If we can get out there right around 7pm then we should be able to head to dinner by 7:30 as we will only be driving on the track for 5 - 6 minutes (3 laps of a 1.5 mile track).

Hopefully this works for everyone, maybe we could even do a short cruise before heading to the track!
