Anyways, Shawn, i never got to see your car run but your car should be trapping a lot better than that. You should be in the low 14's with a high-90s trap. It's gotta be either your launch or your shift... what RPMs do you launch and shift at?
i hope everything is ok with you ! idk the details but it sounds serious ! people in the world are sik ! becareful outthere !

Awww I <3 you guys!! But yeah he'd be in jail..... IF they ever found him Oh well.

Sounds like my time was pretty close to Ryan's, stock. His was 14.3@96 and mine was 14.5@96... So I guess It's just my launch that I have to work on. And really... practice does make perfect!

I'm wondering if maybe something is wrong. Despite varying numbers with what's now 6 runs (2 last night, and 4 from two weeks ago), my trap speed has been 93-94.

Last night I ran 14.9@94 both times. I may not be the best at launching, but shouldn't I have a better speed? Bone Stock 07 (Revup DE) MT. I'm wondering if I just need to work on my technique, or there's something else...
Do you mind posting a slip for us? or maybe the info on it?that way we can get a better idea of whats going on. like ryan said, def practice the shifts and your launch, especialy your 2-3 shift as most people lose there most time down the track on that shift. like its been said , practice makes perfect, so get out there and drive it like you stole it!

It's most likely your launch, what are you lauching at?

That night I ran 14.7 every time. First time was 14.7 @ 94 the second two times was 14.7 @ 96mph. With my trap I should be in the low 14s and so should you.

I kept lauching bad because as soon as I lined up the dude already had the tree lighting up and I barely got a chance to hold my rev. Either I revved too much or too low.

Sen we just gotta practice more, I barely ever practice my launch before going to the track (only had the car for about 4 months).

Is it me or do the stock tires suck as far as launching goes?

I had Falken Azenis on one of my last cars and damn those ****s grabbed, even on the bottle!!!

The guy controlling the lights sucked. You would try and line up and he would hurry up and start the tree. @55hole.

1st run:

R/T -- .545
60' -- 2.348
330 -- 6.528
1/8 -- 9.814
MPH -- 75.08
1000 -- 12.598
1/4 -- 14.925
mph -- 94.45

On my 2nd run I had my friend with me:

R/T -- .704
60' -- 2.367
330 -- 6.511
1/8 -- 9.823
MPH -- 73.27
1000 -- 12.640
1/4 -- 14.999
mph -- 94.71

I launch around 3k RPM, and each shift at around 7k RPM (red line). My 2-3 shift actually feels like my best shift. I'm worried about my 1-2 shift.

My rear tires are FK 452s.

not to bad, but you can see its in you shifting, especially 1-2. your 1/8th time is def on the high side with a low mph. You should be seeing some high 70's with a rev-up maybe low 80s if your lucky lol i would really recommend working on that shift. you are picking up 22mph after that which isnt mad at all! that shows you car is running strong. i am sure with some practice launching and especially shifting some low 14's is possible gl! and keep up the good work...
