O hella..Technically you wont need to buy a splitter, but it does make it easier!
Moete- you will need a power wire(most amps 10 gauge will be fine) and a matching size ground wire. The remote turn on lead is what turns on the amp with the ignition. Most of this comes with a amp install kit...which I will recommend due to it will come with the battery hook ups and fuses. See if your amp has a high level input. If it does, it will be a piece of cake to hook up off the amp in the rear (as I did mine) If not, then you will need a line level converter or something like JL cleansweep. It converts powered signals into low level ones such as that you would fine traveling through a RCA cable.
These two are pretty easy installs. I can offer assistance and guidance for wiring, splicing and tuning of the amp since I used to install years ago...and still do my own stuff.
O hella and Moete...make sure someone brings a nice soldering iron and wire, and QUALITY black tape such as 3M. That will ensure you dont lose connection once its done due to vibrations in the car.
Oh, btw, I will be there with my little bro as he will be doing Ben's roof overlay. If you guys like it, he will most likely do other cars at a later point. Today he is meeting with a Mercedes owner who wants his whole car wrapped flat black.
and I am installing the PAC audio MP3 in the factory sat location Tedd...
I hope to see some newbies out, but if nothing else, it will be a fun install meet as well!
Oh, O hella, do you still want to buy the OEM 17's I have? I wont be able to bring them with me as I will have my daughter with me. But on your way home, you could swing by my house(Im off 70 on the east side).
