Northwest Bible Church where I used to attend at NW Hwy & the Tollway is having their annual Steak-out and Motor Show. It's a pretty good deal. $15 for a car show, 16oz Kuby's steak, potato, and sides. Plus, Indy racer Davey Hamilton will be speaking.

Let me know if you're interested. I'll definitely be going. If you want to enter your car, you actually save 5 bucks but have to be there at 5:30pm. It's mostly classics, but there's always a few newer sports cars. So everything is fair game!

Also, the Team Hall & Nass C6 Corvette from the Dustball Rally is going to be there as well. I helped put the decals on and I must say, it looks really good. You all should come check it out and meet Team Hall & Nass. They're great people!

 

How did this go?

 

It was great. It's always a small show, but some amazing cars show up. There was quite a diverse cast of cars and bikes. A '36 Rolls Royce, rat rods, '66 LeMans convertible w/ LT1 motor, Mustang GT500 SS, and even a Saleen S7. I'll have a writeup and pics online in a few days. I'll post a link.

Davey Hamilton was entertaining as well. He had some great stories like during his rookie season driving for AJ Foyt he was consistently getting 233mph avg during practice. He came into the pits and said he could go faster if they would reduce downforce a bit. They adjusted and he went back out and consistently only averaged 230mph. When he came back in, annoyed, he said he didn't know what the problem was. AJ Foyt looked at him and said "You were gonna wreck my stuff, so I slowed ya down!"
