RPM Dallas - September 4th
RPM Dallas - September 4th

I would have SWORN that there was a thread on this already, but I couldn't find it and I want to make sure that we all get to this and rep the DFW G35 club!
I talked to the guys with NOS tonight at the Lee's meet and they want us to come in a large group to show. They are going to work a deal with the RPM guys to get us a discounted rate (I'll post up the details once I get them). As it stands it is $45 to register as a SHOW car for the INDOOR floor (as vs. the outdoor floor - and indoor will have A/C
). That also gets you 2 VIP passes, one for yourself and one for a guest. We need to rep this big. It's going to be a huge event and it looks like it will be a lot of fun. For those who have been living under a rock, this show comes from the people who brought us Hot Import Nights.
So, all of that being said....who is going to show up?!
1. VicariousVision (Brit)
2. StudentDriver (Tai - sorry if I spelled it wrong)
3.
4.
5.
6.
7.
8.
9.
10.

Indoor shows have roll-in/setup the day before the event, so you will have to drop your car off Friday with less than 1/8 tank of gas. You will be able to leave the venue after the event comes to an end, usually after midnight on Saturday/Sunday.
And they DO NOT mess around w/ the 1/8 tank gas rule. If you have more, the fire marshal will not let you in. Then you'll have to drive around town to burn off gas, and it takes a long time and is no fun at all.

Hound, yes, hands down.. and if you're asking Chris, you too... Both of you guys have excellent and unique rides, I definitely love each one of your rides for completely different reasons..
Here's my thoughts on the show itself:
I was also reading the information about the show, there's only first place trophies given to the classes, and there is no separation of classes from my understanding(driven, mild, wild) so everyone will be lumped together to get ONE possible trophy (best infiniti, unless you qualify for the one off trophies, engine bay, stance, etc)..
If I were an individual, I would have to strongly consider not have my car starting Friday, and then to not get it back till Sunday morning..
Then to pay 45 bucks, stay out there all evening, and they're only giving out one trophy...
I don't think so..
If I do show, it'll be to go for the best crew representation or most cars entered.. I think it'd be smart strategically, if all the G's showed up and said ya'll were a crew and then tried to do it as a group rather than individuals.. That also takes the stress off of winning on an individual level, keeps it friendly as well, and you don't think of it as a lesser modded car vs. more modded rides... This is also a perfect way to gain show experience and find out what goes on and how they're judged, and what kind of competition comes out...
So that means EVERYONE SHOW UP..

yes!!!!!!
Man, I would like to make it, but I don't think I will be in town that weekend. If I do make it, I am not sure if I would enter my car in the show. Sedan's don't get a lot of love, and mine is not too extreme. I also don't know that I have time to go through the staging process (I have an extra car, but I have been super busy the past couple of months).
