10/31/10 - Project7 Meet & Discussion - Addison, TX
OK guys, the other 2 threads were getting clogged and not really making any progress as far as meeting up is concerned, so I hope that this can consolidate things down. From what I gathered, it seems like this will work the best for most everyone. For the sake of making sure that this happens, I strongly suggest that we stick to this time and whoever makes it, makes it.
WHERE?
Twin Peaks in Addison:
WHEN?
Sunday, 10/31, at 8:00 pm. I will call ahead once I have a decent idea of how many people will be showing up to see if we can get something reserved.
WHY?
We need to discuss the direction of Project7. This has been covered extensively in the other 2 threads, so please DO NOT discuss the topic any further in this thread. Simply indicate if you will or will not be attending to keep the clutter to a minimum. There will be plenty of time for us to discuss all relevant topics on Sunday.
Also, please do not think that you need to be "invited" to this event. It is a meet where we will be discussing the future of Project7 - it is open to everyone to give their opinions/suggestions/rants/complaints/praise.
That being said, this is NOT a signup or roll-call for Project7. This is a preliminary meeting to get the ball rolling and figure out the basics. Attendance does not guarantee a "spot" - on the flip side, lack of attendance does not exclude you. Let's just keep this open-minded and go from there.

Sorry I hope you don't mind me posting in here and kind of helping you guys get a bit organized.
I have been following the other 2 threads pretty closely because I'm eager to see something awesome come out all of this. And this is mostly due to the fact that when we went to RPM in Dallas, I didn't see any of the DFW G's on the arena floor and I always love meeting other G owners and talking shop. Plus a little Houston and Dallas competition is always fun.
With that said, I think you are all off to a very good start in trying to decide the direction of your Team and what you want it to be. I definitely agree that you all want to be close as family and rely on one another. You just don't want anyone stepping into your home and disrupting your family. So being somewhat exclusive is a good idea, since friendships and trust have to be built before the bond is actually really there.
It goes back to who can bring what to the table and who is there to just jump on the bandwagon and ride the success and growth of your Team.
I'll link this post that I had put in your other thread, since I just now realized that it was only VV that read it and saw it.

I apologize guys, but I have to bow out as well. There is too much going on this weekend and it just really isn't going to work.
After giving it some further thought, I think that it would be best to step back from this. I have come to several conclusions about this particular effort (Project7) and I can't fully support the direction that this is heading or the circumstances surrounding it. I can't justify being a part of something that I am not fully committed to.

so which one is it, you dont wanna support it or that you have too much going on?
project 7 or not, i'm gonna go out there, and just hang out and check out the fine ladies of twin peaks and eat a little grub. anyone who wants to come still is more than welcome. I will bring my DSLR and will do some pics.
