Infiniti targeting EX towards female buyers

"If you were eager to get behind the wheels of the EX you will now be seen as girly."

If anyone measures their self-worth by the automobile they drive, they have issues.

I couldn't care less what anyone thinks of what I drive - if I like the car and choose to own it, good for me. If someone wants to give me grief and have me care about it, they'll have to do better than call my car or me 'girly...'

But point well taken. ALL SUVs are chick-cars in my opinion, because that's who you normally see driving them - cell phone glued to the ear.

Wholeheartedly agree...with everything you said, really. I see guys driving the big *ss Escalades around here. Same thing though...cell phone up to the ear. Remember, the car doesn't start if the cell phone isn't in use.

link doesn't work. And I actually wouldn't care either if the EX is a girls car. As long as it floats my boat, then it's all good.

+10000000, well said Bob.

Time will tell, but this could very well be my next vehicle in a couple of years. I couldn't give a rats azz if this is dubbed a "girly" vehicle. It certainly won't affect my buying decision.

I see car based SUVs like the Infiniti EX, Lexus RX etc... as more feminine rides... Truck based SUVs like the Tahoe or Pathfinder are more masculine to me. I have to admit, I wouldn't buy a car based SUV for my own daily use but what do I know, my wife drives a Nissan Xterra (truck based)...

Or maybe a more practical person. Not everyone needs a vehicle the size of an full-sized SUV nor needs to outperform everything else on the street.

For anyone in Alberta that is interested in seeing the EX possibly in person. I spoke to my local Infiniti rep and it appears they are going to hold a dealer only intro to the EX at Lake Louise sometime in September. Someone might see or "bump" into one if you are in the neighborhood.

As for it being targetted as "girly", I could care less. I am seriously putting down a deposit after I get some feedback from the rep in September.
