EX Transmission issues?

This is odd but it is happening to my EX. Its a 2008 journey EX35 2wd. Car has 29k miles and all service completed at dealership. For some reason when you press the gas from a stop (softly) it does like a slip then catches the gear. You can see it in the RPM of the car right when it tries to pass 1k RPM it kicks down 100-200 RPM then takes off. It also does it on reverse and while driving around 40-45 mph. If you feather the gas around 40 mph itll do a slight kick or sort of a gear change.

In short I took it to the dealer (Sawgrass Infiniti) and they simply said it was a computer code (tranny) and an update. I picked it up today and it didnt do it, until it warmed up again and when I drove home today . I must say its not as drastic, but still there. I got some push back from the service tech there as well on the issue. I dont know whether to take it back or just go to another dealership.....

I HIGHLY doubt thats normal operation, specially Infinti. My G does not do this at all, and I have tried to get the same result but nothing.....

Update: Spoke to the Dealership service dpt again. Danny is the advisers name, which mentioned I would have to bring it back in Tuesday next week. I will meet the the "foreman" and the tech who attended me initially. I am expecting them to come up with some BS story on how that is normal and theres nothing they can do, so I will take as much ammunition as I can. Lets see what happens.

Update:

Spoke to the dealer today and they first came at me with a recommendation to flush the transmission oil .... If that fixed the issue then I would be charged for it . Needless to say I gave major push back and they just gave me a loaner, said they'll call me .

Later that afternoon, I received a call from them. Service rep explained they had spoken to Infiniti HQ and they wanted my transmission shipped to them and they will ship a new tranny to install on my car . They want to research the issue on their end because they had never experienced anything like it. I, on the other hand, am super happy I am getting a new tranny! Finally Infiniti comes through and does what they were supposed to have done from the get go. In the meantime, I am driving a g37 loaner (7 speed) and man this thing rips! Its a very fast car to say the least, lot faster than my G coupe
