To save all the confusion they could've Atleast said from the beginning that they had some "delays" then I would've known going into the transaction that I wouldn't get the exhaust quick. But since they didn't, my mind keeps telling me "the exhaust should've been here already"

Well after being ridiculously furious with them during weeks 3-4 I have come to the conclusion that its not really their fault, they just put too much weight on their manufactuter and are really subject to whatever he or she makes each day. That said, I dont know how the hell you run a business like this. Considering the demand, find a better manufacturer or two, its ridiculous that you are subjecting yourself to this kind of risk.

I have pretty much told them they have a couple days to get it to me or I will be asking for a refund. Its mutually beneficial for them to ship it to me and get my money, as I really want their exhaust and nobody elses, but if they cant do it I am tired of waiting. Its more the principle and the expectation than anything. If you tell me 2-5 days and it takes 5 weeks of course im going to be harassing you each day and getting impatient. Whereas if you tell me its 5 weeks up front, it factors into my initial purchasing decision, and you probably wont hear a peep from me until its after those 5 weeks.

^^yes. I completely agree wth your last few statement. Be upfront with the customers on the delivery time. No bullshit. Last week I called Tony and I complained that it was taking forever. All he said was "sorry. You could get refund if you like". Are you kidding me? I want a refund and more back. Committ to your customers. More than likely they will lose our business and others who see this post. I really want to give them a second chance but I don't think they deserve it. They don't keep in contact at all. They keep saying they will call me back but they never do. Looks like Strafe is contagious.

I think more the fact is they dont know timetables, period end of story. I dont think they could have even told us 5 weeks back when we first ordered, and I think that should be the statement they provide. Im sure if I wasnt on the phone bugging them every day I might not get it for maybe 6-8 weeks. Who knows because I still dont have it in hand.

It bothered me too when he offered me a refund. I was more startled than anything because usually thats the only leverage any customer has and when its just being offered to you its like uhhhhh whats going on. The truth is they dont have any control over when things are ready and they dont know when they will be. Sad, and ridiculous for any growing business, but true. So while its nice they have no problem issuing a refund, I wish they put some more pressure on the manufacturer or found another more reliable one and could get me a concrete answer on when the product would ship.

I dont think you should hold your breath for free ART pipes or a spacer, because that wont happen. The good news is tony hasnt started screening my calls yet and I guess thats all I can ask for haha

O no I'm not expecting any compensation at all. They aren't exactly a company that would give out something free like this. They seem like a "buy it or take a hike" kind of business. I don't see a lot of pride in the company. If I decide to opt for the refund I will be taking my money to a different business. Or maybe try to find the same exhaust second-hand. I'm really disappointed that it's come down to this. I expected so much more from Motordyne, who many vouched for. Incase you are reading this and think we are overreacting, I understand that it's one thing to have delays in a business from time to time, but leaving the customer hanging the way they have to me and the fellow members is outrageous. They give us NO estimated date for the exhaust to be finished. They keep saying they're sorry we don't have the parts. Calling them doesn't help. Also I'd like to add that they do not respond emails. I sent 3 emails to them the past month and spaced them out to give them time to reply, but nothing. I called yesterday to give them my order number and the person said "o I think I remember seeing your email about your order"
Well great, you should've responded

Yep, if they didnt have the reputation they had already, I would have thought I was getting fraudulently jerked around with all the vague and "it will be here tomorrow the latest" answers I was getting from them. Needless to say I wouldnt have given them 5 weeks if it wasnt motordyne I was dealing with. However, even a company with a great product and nice staff I am reaching my limit.

I'm actually waiting for other customers to chime in as well. I know we aren't the only ones being affected.

Guys I am sorry and I understand what you are saying and it sucks waiting for parts. I to have waiting over 3 months for parts on my car. I waited 5 months for my wheels. Motordyne are at the hands of there builder. Like we are at the hands of Motordyne. They are a great company, but they are just over whelmed with the demand for there parts. I know they are working hard to get them finished. I am 100% sure that once they are finished and you have them installed on your car you will love the exhaust.

If you have any questions feel free to pm me.

Thanks
Charles

completely agree...
Just came across these last few posts, I actually ordered the tdx for my z.
anyway been almost 4 weeks now and some of you have been waiting longer is making me worry. I know b2 isn't at fault or md(at least from what i've read). it just sucks because i had ordered another exhaust from another site and they kept giving me random dates it'd be finished. finally got fed up after 6 weeks and got a refund.. then came across this bad boy, $300 more but whatever. and now i play the waiting game again. honestly can't see myself buying anything else other than this. the wait is killing me... i dont want compensation, i just want a date it'll be finished and a tracking number lol. i've seen alot of positive feedback for MD so i just hope they can get these orders finished.

Sorry that everyone is going through this. I was fortunate enough to receive my TDX2 exhaust rather quickly a few weeks back. I think I literally purchased one of the last, if not THE last, exhausts before this whole back order problem arose. However, I assure you all that once you hear this exhaust on your car.. The wait time will of not only been worth it.. But will also be forgotten. Their exhaust is entirely worth the wait and never ceases to put a smile on my face day after day. Motordyne has a reputation for excellent customer service and although it really sucks that you all have to wait for this long.. I reiterate that the wait is worth it. Best of luck to everyone on their orders, and to Motordyne for finding a way to better support the demand!

Bottom line: This is the best exhaust on the market right now. If you've waited X number of weeks, just wait a bit more and their product will exceed your wildest expectations!
