Do you know a DIY on this? I contacted the gentleman on Ebay and he sent me a link but it was unclear about how to hook up the rod purchased to the door actuator wire that was being cut from the cable... Sorry I'm a noob and want to make sure I can do it before I get started.

Ok the rod is hooked up with the clamp that is supplied with the actuator. Now here is the tricky part of the install ,you have to take the door lock cable and cut about 2-3 inches of the insulation off. then cut the cable that's surrounding the inner core of the cable. Now be care full not to damage the inner core.once you have the door panel off you can see what i'm taking about on the door lock cable.the inner core is what makes the door lock and unlock.once all that is done use the clamp and the special u shaped insert that's in the cable kit. Without it the clamp will not hold on to the cable you just exposed.Once all that's done and you mount it wire it up. he even tells you the colors and where to get them.try it before you put the panel back on to make sure that lock and unlock is right .After all is done you just saved yourself over 400 bucks because the dealer charges almost 500 bucks to replace 1 door lock actuator. So well worth buying the kit and doing it yourself.
