I already have an 06 coupe with 06 tails, but I've read that modifications are still required to make the trunk release button on the JDM 06+ tails work. What sort of modifications are we talking about?

no modifications are required for the trunk button to fit if you already have that option from what I've seen...

Every 06+ coupe that I've seen with 06+ JDM tails has said there was some minor modification needed.

Could be wrong, though. But they've said the trunk release is not a direct plug and play.

I don't have my '06 JDM tails anymore so I can't go outside and look but, IIRC, it just requires splicing one wire to enable the trunk release button. Also, the JDM tails do not have sockets for the side marker lamps.
