Does the lube protect the terminals from corrosion?

Great write up. Used this to install my Optima YellowTop this evening.

How did you get YellowTop to fit as the terminal posts are aligned different? I have a YellowTop sitting up in an old car because I dont know how to install it as the the wires for the terminals are too short.

I didn't have any issues with the terminal posts being misaligned. Everything fit exactly like the original battery I removed from my car.

This is the battery I put in (thanks bigc for the heads up on this):
