At the time of the purchase, the hotchkis were the only sway on the market with 3 way adjustability front and rear. I believe Stillen's is 3 way adjustable now for front and rear as well, not sure on that.
Thanks for the info. Have your Basics ever made any noises? I've heard that some of them make a noise during hard cornering.

If you're still happy with them after a year and a half, that's sure a good sign.

Glad to hear that you got everything fixed on your G. No real plans for a meet that I know of... Maybe after HIN we'll get something going.

John,
Sorry for the delay. I have experienced clicking noises every once in a while but i have experienced that at very low speeds while turning or going over a speed bump or getting out of my driveway. I have never had it at high speeds or hard cornering and sometimes i do take them hard. For a while there i went a week straight hearing pop noises but then it went away. It really concerned me and my brother and I looked at the entire suspension and didn't find anything broken or out of place. Now is just every once in a while. I can live with that and really like the setup. Not too stiff to make it bouncy but stiff enough to satisfy daily driving and you can be more aggressive with he car.

Thanks for the info! Good feedback.

I talked to the Tein representatives at Hot Import Nights in Orlando. I got some interesting info about their new coilovers and a few pictures. I'll post them when I get home tonight.

I talked to Tein's technical Representative at Hot Import Nights in Orlando last Saturday. One of the first questions I asked was the title of this thread: "Is Tein coming out with a new coil-over for the 350Z/G35?"

His answer was yes, and he confirmed what bwassul mentioned above. The new coil-overs are mono-tube structure instead of the older dual-tube structure. The new mono-tube shocks are designed to reduce heat and provide more consistant dampeniing. There are two versions of the new mono-tube shocks, a Comfort Sport model that Hugen35 has, and a Flex version called the Mono Flex that bwassul has.

According to Tein's Tech, you can not tell whether a coil-over is mono or dual tube by looking at the outside of the shock. If you want a new monotube version, make sure it's what you get. Buy from someone you trust or make sure the box is unopened.

Although the new Comfort Sport (CS) coil-over is now mono-tube, the audience is still the same as the old CS, comfortable ride with the advantage of height adjustability and possibly EDFC.

Since these mono-tube shocks are new, I took a picture of the data from Teins exibit and posted it here. It gives the options on the new shocks. Note that the price is TBA.

Here's a picture of the Comfort Sport mono-tube coil-over from the HIN show. This CS coil-over is made for a 350Z or G35. I thought some people might like to see it because it shows that the rear spring does not wrap around the coil spring as you would suspect. It sits in the separate, normal spring perch for the G35 or 350Z.

Here's the data sheet from the Mono Flex.

And here's the data from the Tein Basic coil-over. The Basic is not being updated to mono-tube construction...

Another interesting option about the Basic coil-overs is that they are the only Tein coil-overs that re-use the existing top shock mount from the G35 or 350Z. I suspect that many of you knew that, but I didn't.

That's about qll I know about the new Tein coil-overs. If you have any questions about how they work on a G35, I'd ask Hugen35 and bwassul, they're the ones that have them!

The Tein Basics use linear, not progressive, springs. I have experienced no rattles or problems. You can see my review here: https://g35driver.com/forums/reviews/35796-review-tein-basics-350evo-arms-spc-camber-kit.html

I don't have the new Monoflex. It hasn't been released yet, but according to Tein, that will happen this month.

Good catch. All of Tein's coilover springs are linear.

I have been on the waiting list for a set of 350evo front control arms for several months. They said that they had eight sets of control arms almost completed about a month and a half ago. Still nada...

I think I read somewhere that the JDM SS are the for the Fairlady, they don't have them for the skyline. But you figure if the CS and Flex share the same part numbers on the Z and G35, the SS would fit the G35 also. How can you tell if you are getting the new CS or the old CS?

^^AfroPuff:From The new CS has a distinctive black body and gold pillow mounts and gold cups in the rear.. also gold locking perches.. JB has posted some pictures above...

The older models have gold bodies/Pillow mounts and sliver locking perches...

for those experiencing noise from there suspension:
(the noise for me was comming from the rear) try removing the struts/shocks and use a wrench.. i believe its a 10mm to hold the rod and tighten the nut down..

Often times when the washer is loose it will create a metal clicking noise..

I hope this helps ... just a little something i've learned about my suspension..
