Project SWAP !!!

ok guys, as most of you know i bought alans (djniknala, theking) car. a fully built darton sleeved, greddy tt, arias 9 to 1 extreme duty pistons, ported heads, 1mm larger valves, JWT cams, etc etc etc.....

and as most of you know, i drive a 2800 pound daily driven 350Z that was in need of more power.

i decided a couple weeks ago to just swap the motors and last night i started the whole process. i was working by myself last night cause everyone was busy, i am just using hand tools and a cherry picker. i got alans motor out in about 4 and a half hours, all by myself and its my first VQ that i have ever pulled out. here are some pics, i will be pulling the Zs motor out on sat and will be putting in the built motor on sunday....

like to thank a few people (ZUL8R, Done12Many, Beddow) for helping out a bit, whether it be on the phone or actual help today. i will keep it updated, and here are some pics!!!

fun fun fun...

Our cars sure look sad with the front off and the motor out. It's a sad looking sight over in the corner of the yard, all alone.

He has a for sale thread in the Members Only section, which you need to request access to (somewhere in the welcome to the club PM or in the stickies there should be instructions).

can we say 9 sec with traction.... i will be spinning everywhere, the next weak link will be the driveshaft, rear end and half shafts, we will see, i will just start collecting broke peices in sure for a while..

it will be sick, the motor is easily good to over 700 hp. it has the same block that the performance nissan 1500 full race Z has in it.

i am just going to drive it for at least a month or two before i push it past 600. right when i get it in, i will tune it to 15-16 psi, should be good for right over 600.

thanks guys, i bumped my list for sale back up here on the FGC page. i have sold a lot of stuff but still have some up for sale. thanks!!!

Incredible! I wish I would have known I certainly could have given you a hand. I have been off all week.

Good luck with the project.
