I need some new tires for the oem 19's I just got, asap. The person I got them from just put on a brand new Toyo T1R 255/40/19 for the rear.

I ordered a set of Toyo T1R 225/40/19 for the fronts but just found out (after waiting a week with no response ) that they are on back order for at least another 2 weeks. My question is can I run 245/35/19 on the fronts instead or will they not match up well with the 255/40/19 in the rear.

The diameter of the T1R is as follows:
Front
225/40ZR19 26.1 inches
245/35ZR19 25.8 inches
Rear
255/40ZR19 27.0 inches

The stock tire diameters (19 inch Bridgestone RE050) are:
Front
225/40R19 26.1 inches
Rear
245/40R19 26.9 inches

So to answer your question, you could use the 245/35 since it is only .3 inches smaller in diameter than stock, or 1.3% smaller in diameter.

Incidentally, your rear tire is 1.2% larger diameter.

Generally, you want to keep the replacement tires within 3% of OEM.

i will check in teh morning if the 225/40/19 are instock or not and what kinda wait it is on those and let you know

well if its not going to be a huge difference running 245/35/19 and that's what you can get the quickest I'll go with those. But I guess we'll see what happens tomorrow.

Get the 245's and get rid of that understeer. Leave the 225's to Accords and Camrys to run.

The only problem i dont like about these tires is they will only last 10k max. I went through these tires in 8k. Good deal but they dont last long enough IMHO. I would rather pay more for a tire like the T1R and have it last 18k-25k. Im going on 17K on my T1Rs and I can push it for another 4k maybe more.

Yeah it looks like I'm going with the 245's since he can get them the quickest.

Ok I ended up getting the 245/35/19's and had them mounted yesterday. They feel a lot better than the worn out oem bridgestones.
