Taking Scuba lessons!

Thats right, after spending years on top of the water boating and fishing, Ive decided to see whats down there. Spear fishing may be soon to follow

Im starting Tues night, its a two week course that meets Tue/Thur/Sat. Im a little nervous, but really excited. Im sure its got to be safer than rugby. Ive got some cheap snorkel gear, but want to upgrade. I get a discount on the course for buying gear at the dive shop, but if anyone has any they would like to get rid of let me know.

i got mine in Honduras (bay islands) very cheap, it was great diving in the second biggest reef in the world, liked it so much that im going back in 10 days staying for 2 weeks if any of you guys really want a stunning beach, not crowded and be able to visit diff (small) islands every day, Honduras is the place, not to mention that everything is so cheap, its like 19 to 1

Where are you doing your first dive? You just getting the basic scuba or open water, too?

I've been diving for years and it's great. The real key is to always spend the extra dollars on a very good mask--it's the most important piece. To keep it from fogging up, put a little bit of Johnson's baby shampoo inside the glass and smear it around then rinse it out. You'll never be sorry you did...

PADI open water cert, taking the class here in the Pompano/Deerfield area. Two nights in the classroom, two nights in a pool and two days in the Atlantic.

great sport... wish i had dive buddies down here in tampa to go out with.

I have dove in differnt elements... lakes, rivers, ocean and the gulf. It never got old. I think the best time I had diciving was in South Carolina looking for fossils. We found sharks teeth the size of your hand and civil war artifacts.

Maybe we could get a G club dive trip set up soon.
