So has anyone heard they are finally bringing the emissions testing to Florida?

well the other option is the inspection is for populated areas.. not state wide..

might be time to get together and buy like a 1/4 of an acre out in the boondocks and register the car from there..
i think that is the best idea ive heard throughout the whole thread

I didn't find anything about that law with Google. Anyone have a source other than another website from what some guy said.

If it is a way for the state of Florida to make money either through tax, fine, or fee.

Didn't they just get rid of emmissions testing in 2001 after 8 years of it not working out? At least they did here. Why would they bring it back? I think it was costing more than they expected... I'll believe it when it happens...

I'd be surprised if Florida turned around and initiated emissions testing again.

If they do, for some reason, it wouldn't be so bad if they just stuck a sniffer in the tailpipe. Checking to make sure every car has all the OEM equipment sucks.
