well i dont think the jax meet will happen this year. my vacations in november and december are already booked. i will try and schedule something for early 07 though.

now as far as meets, i know we've had the usual hooters or park hang out. there have also been a couple car shows and cruises. when i was in stl, the gateway z club was able to schedule winery tours and rallys but they were centralized around 1 city really.

im new so im not sure if this has been brought up before but what i want to know is what regular members had to say about these sorts of meets? personally, im cool with just hanging out at hooters all day drinking, eating and checking out cars. however, do people want more? anyways, post up ANY of your ideas for what you guys think you'd like to see at meets.

ps this can include hooters girls and bikini car washes.

My wife has all the Hooters I need, but she ain't ever gonna wash my car--or hers!!!

Anyway, I could care less. It's all fun and good to me. With planning, I'm in for whatever...

 

I think a meet at the brewery with all the free beer we can drink would be cool. But I don't really drink beer, so I'm up for about anywhere. I'd rather have a little nicer place to mee than Hooters though. I'm getting tired of their food.

Is there a high profile place to meet and eat where a lot of people will see our cars?

Plan for the weather when sceduling a meet too. It gets cold up in Jax. We don't want it to be too cold when we're standing outside.

 

Yeah like that one night in front of Best Buy the Gilley Arranged. He planned on like 4 people showing up and 50 showed up and it was freezing cold.

 

Just a thought, but how about Winter Park Village (off of 17-92, website here)? Dozens of classy places to eat (Cheesecake Factory, Brio Tuscan Grille, PF Chang's, etc.), a 20-screen Regal Cinema, and some places to shop like Pier 1 Imports and the Guitar Center. Parking size is ample, I'm sure it won't be a problem finding parking for us meetgoers.

 

havnt been to many but i enjoy the park/bbq meets on the beach like cocoa! some miami/south beach meets would be cool

South beach meet would be awsome count me in on that one! The ride down would be great...

 

The parking around Winter Park Village is terrible, but it would be a nice place.

A Miami meet would be nice, but for some reason, you South Florida guys can't figure out where to have one and set it up. Just make sure there is enough parking and a place to hang out.
