not too sure. jeremys got the numbers. but ya the loss was pretty big and he said something about leaking boost so idk. those mb autos have a lot of drivetrain loss relatively speaking.

Are the dyno jets usually under rated or over rated when they show HP and TQ numbers?

Well compared to a mustang dyno and any other, they are rated higher. Its the preferred dyno to show off your numbers.

yeah i think the mustang is the one to show off numbers....dynojet is the more accurate one from iv seen

as a bit of facts to go with it....an '03-'04 will show about ~230 give or take on a DynoJet which falls in line with an average 17% loss from crank

No sir, Mustang Dyno read 11 or 12% lower than the Dynojet.

Take my car for example, when originally tuned @ Japtrix on their mustang dyno I made 385rwhp. Went on a dynojet made 435rwhp. Lets do the math, 385 + 12% (46.2) = 431, so factoring conditions and all thats about right.

As an aside, the dyno operator can adjust the MD to read the same as the DynoJet. I know a few tuners who only go by a Mustang Dyno as a indicator of "real HP".
