I got my coupe back after installing the 3.12 pulley

Well, the broken cog belt for the Vortech pulley finally came in yesterday, so I was finally able to get it to Jeremy (at PerformanceFactory.com) to get the car running again. I had him install the 3.12 pulley in place of the standard 3.33 pulley for a couple more pounds of boost. He also retuned the UTEC so it is buttery smooth. Jeremy got a reading of 382 whp. All I can say is this is FUN!!! It really comes alive around 4000 rpm. I need to start saving for another set of rear tires because I have a feeling these aren't going to keep tread long.

Attached is a printout of all 3 max dyno runs. The bottom line is my original base line that was done on the dyno day of January 7, 2007. I got a best of 235 whp.

The middle line is with the Vortech 3.33 pulley for 347.98.

The top line is with the 3.12 pulley for 382.13 whp. I like the 3.12 pulley because the power curve moves farther down in the RPM range.

For you guys that do a Vortech kit (Jeremy has great pricing right now) just start off with the 3.12 pulley. You won't be disappointed. And if you get a used kit, start with all new belts.

Looks GREAT Sean!!!

I'll bet going from 235 to 382 horsepower makes a wild difference! That is so cool. I can almost see the big grin on your face over here in St. Petersburg...

Congratulations...

Well, that's a decent write up (again expecting "woo wee, fun.")!!! 150hp over stock is amazing power. I'd liquidate my rears in a hurry, too!!!

the smile on his face when he got back from the test drive is all i needed to see!!!

the car is very smooth and very fast!! we might try a new exhaust here soon and see what it will do. should be interesting...

with a vortech you really have to get up in the revs, but once you are past 4000 well...

You can change the pulley to make the impeller in the sc spin faster and create more boost pressure. The standard pulley is 3.33 inch diameter. I installed a 3.12 pulley for a couple more pounds of boost. There are other sizes too.
