Greetings and salutations to everyone on this evening...
Most, all, and even I was expecting to report something other than what I'm about to tell you, but just so you all know, I made a decision that I thought was in the best interest of myself and everyone and I DID NOT purchase the lamps.
That's right, I DID NOT buy any 07 lamps.
First I'll explain a few things that I have learned this weekend.
#1 yes the 06 projectors are being recalled for being "too bright" (my guess is that the light is misdirected into the eyes of oncoming drivers instead of down on the ground as it should be)
#2 the lady I was buying from was attaining the 06 UPDATED lamps from a guy that worked at an infiniti dealer in GA. When she went to pick up the lamps, the guy at the dealer wanted another $100 per set.
#3 due to the recall, the dealer cost has gone from over $600 for the set to $411 each set for Lamps + Ballasts + Bulbs. Hence the reason why it is possible to get these for somewhat cheap without bulbs
#4 the old 06 lamps that are removed are supposed to be destroyed BY the dealer.
THE BAD NEWS
a) Our lamps have not been purchased
b) we will get them one week later (read on)
THE GOOD NEWS
a) I still have all of our money
b) I think we evaded a shady deal (& got the deposit money back)
b) Dan made a contact with the Infiniti dealer's parts manager in Tampa...
WE GOT THE SAME PRICE!
SO... I will be sending all of our money to Dan - another trustworthy member who will make the deal with Tampa Infiniti.
Our lamps will be purchased for $450 without bulbs and WITH ballasts.
Dan will ship the lamps out to the respective buyers. Those in Florida will be delivered by Dan or myself.
Bernz is the only person who is somewhat out of range. Bernz, we can either ship it to you for the additional cost or Dan or I can hold onto your lamps till we head to So-Fla again soon. Lets talk through PM
I want ALL of you to respond to me on PM or on here to say YES I WANT MY LAMPS FROM TAMPA. If not, I will gladly refund the exact money that you sent me.
Much love to all, I tried my best and I think I made the right decision as I didnt want any shady deals and it would be better if we got the lamps straight from a LEGIT dealer with a huge receipt...

i think it was the right move as well adrian.
as adrian said, i will buy the lights from my dealership that i normally work with on a regular basis. they agreed to do the 600 with bulbs and 450 without bulbs. i will place the final order on monday and they will order them in. it should take about 3-4 days to get them in and then i will dhip them out or whatever. hope every stays on the buy cause this is a great price.
if anyone is interested please let me or adrian know

good work keeping your head on adrian, i trust your judgement. i already told dan i have no problem with ordering through infiniti. if im lucky, ill have them at the same time or just have to wait a little. either way, its still a great deal and i cant wait. thanks to both of you.
Adrian, did you have to drive all the way to Atlanta to find this out? I hope not. I'm glad Dan was able to get another dealer to take care of you guys.
