888_G35,

I used to live in Danbury, CT for 4 years. Worked in Wilton as an engineer. The salary was nice and all, but taxes were a bitch (esp. property from the condo I owned). So was emissions testing. Quit work and moved down to Orlando for business school (MBA), and it was probably the best choice I've made. I'd have to say that Orlando has a lot to offer for the young and old, and is more attractive to the tourist and out-of-towner than any of the other FL cities I've visited.

Thanks guys, i really appreciate all of you chiming in and giving me your opinions.. i think Florida is a great state and always wanted to move somewhere that was warm all year round so i hope this works out.. best part is i can go there for about a month to test the waters, and then make the plunge.

Gilley - thanks man, i definatly plan on hooking up with the Florida G35 crew once im there and hope to make some great new friends that are just as nuts about the G35 as i am.. btw, im soooo gonna lower the car once i move there.. CT hills are no good for that kind of thing..

Lexusk8 - yea taxes are rediculouse in this state and the best part of moving is that i can keep my current salary which is a huge plus.. now i can spend more on mods.. haha.. im soo addicted..

Orlando sounds fun.. maybee in could meet up with some of you guys while im down there and you could show me around..

ok guys, keep the info coming..
thanks again to all..
Larry

Melbourne is ok. There's a Infiniti dealership in town, thats a plus. Definitely has less traffic than living somewhere like Tampa/Orlando/Miami/Jax.

Same here, Melbourne didn't touch it. The only gas station I could go to were Sunocos, everywhere else I got about 75 cents before the gas pump stopped. Got Lokey/Clearwater to fix it at the last Lokey meet. Got a new fuel tank, gas pumps up perfectly everytime at full speed but then the fuel sensors quit working about a week or so later. The fuel gauge would never drop below the halfway mark, sometimes in the needle would go up drastically. Melbourne changed out the fuel tank the 2nd time but only because it showed in the service records that the fuel tank (which housed the sensors) had been changed recently. Other than that, I haven't had any issues with the Melbourne dealer.
