We definitely needed more sedans. I was 1 of 2. You and Quad should make the next one for sure!

Trust me i wanted to go, but had a last minute thing to do, work at the air show. it was fun over there, but i would have rather been at the meet. hopefully will catch the next one.

I really want to kick my own *** for not going. My friends and I had a "camping mishap" that weekend and could not make it back into my own town.

From what I gather, the most fun part of the event was the caravan drive together! That's one definite plus of having it in Lakeland.

I wondered what happened to you. After you helped out finding the site and posting the picture of the parking area, I thought you'd be there for sure.

It was all fun... the caravans are a blast, as is checking out everyone's cars at the actual event. Lots of people had new mods, plus everyone details their cars for the event... good time... You'll have to make the next Meet for sure.

I vote to have this meet once or a month or every other month...since we don't seem to be having big FGC meets anymore.

I am not on the BOD but I really don't see paying for the member's meals every meet or get together we have is! Usually there are 2 major meets and then those meals and accommodations (entrances to parks) or taken taken care of. This past Sunday was something gracious that they (the BOD) decided to do and I and the members really appreciated it!

+1. excellent points. we dont do this for profit but we also dont have a steady source of income. i think keeping our dues for the all state meets as well as raffles and such is a better plan. this doesnt mean that we wont contribute to other meets but please dont expect this at every meet.

Good idea, Ryan. I was thinking along the same lines... We've had two Lakeland Meets a year apart, and both were very well attended. I'd like to have another CFL meet sooner than next year...

Personally, I'd like to have a bunch of Meets like the OZOC guys do in Orlando. Right now there seem to be a bunch of car shows that everyone wants to attend, so it may be a good time to hold up a bit.

Maybe another Lakeland CFL Meet in late May or early June would be good. In between we can schedule some local Mini Meets in each city. How does that sound?

+2

I'm not on the BOD, but I know that we can't always expect the FGC to pick up the tab. This was just a nice surprise that Ian and Chuck put together for us. It was appreciated, but can't become the norm.

Pay $100 a year in dues and you may get more free food.
