Need the opinion of fellow florida G owners

I am currently in a debate on my first major upgrade to my 03 OB Coupe.
My options are

Intake and Exhaust
Rims
Complete Springs Package

I am currently leaning towards Intake and Exhaust but in the back of my mind I really want rims. More importantly because my stock 18's were stained by some cleaner put on my rims.

What are your thoughts on maybe having my stock 18's painted black of gun metal for the time being and spend my money on performance and sound.

What would you do in this situation?

Whats complete springs package? Do you mean coilovers or springs? Because springs are 200 and coilovers, good ones are over 1k. So Id assume your talking full coilovers, camber kits, ect.. if thats the case.. i might do that first then save for wheels .. my 02. cents

rims, springs, camber kits

One of the best performance upgrades are sway bars.

It's hard for us to say...

I went intake/exhaust -> springs/suspension -> wheels/tires.

When I put the wheels on, everything was complete, but it meant that I went a long time without having nice wheels.

Wheels/tires probably make the biggest difference in the look of your car. Not a bad place to start... just realize that as soon as you put them on, you're going to want to lower your car... and then you'll need some extra suspension pieces to keep your new tires from wearing out.

I did it kinda reverse of the norm. and went Suspension/Wheels/Exhaust-Intake.

Just depends what you prefer....If you drive hard do suspension first, If not and its your daily driver get wheels. If you lean towards more performance just get your intake/exhaust.

Let us know what you go with and post up some pics! PM audiblemayhem or 98intrigue at performance factory, they have some of the best prices around.

Do you have a plenum spacer yet?

I personally think the 03-04 stock 18" G35 rims look sweet. Maybe you could get them dipped in black chrome or something to repair the stain if it cant be fixed. You would then have enough money for Exhaust and Intake.

Z-tube and K&N drop in filter = $75

Exhaust = $600-$1500

Springs = $250

New Wheels and Tires = $1600-$3000+

The G35 was toned down when you compair it to the Z. Its engine performance area would be my top priority.

(edit: For me) Rims are for when you have a couple thousand to spare and are tired of the way your G looks. You cant go budget cheap on wheels, because it really shows. If your going to go that route, I recommend you save up and do it right. But for that kind of money. I would get some BOOOOOOOOOOOOST!!!!!!!!!!! Nothing like that kind of power and then Whooooopppisshhhhhh!!!!

I dont see really how $200.00 springs can be an option at the same times are wheels that cost $1500.00 and up.. I mean you can easily just buy both of those if your going to buy rims, $200.00 for some springs isn't much more..

Plenum Spacer, Z-tube, k&n panel filter, sway bars and new 245/40/18 front tires. Your car will feel totally different and you haven't spent much money. Save until you can get new rims, suspension and exhaust. Unless you are just wanting the sound or cosmetic difference of an exhaust it just doesn't do that much for the G so I would do that the very last unless you go FI.
