Well I recently sold my Sony Ericcson W810i cell phone on Ebay. I set it up for a buy it now option with immediate payment. I recieved the payment and it cleared my paypal account! So I shipped out the phone. Then a week later I get an email stating the the CC used was possible stolen and they were going to put the funds on hold. Then today I recieved a email saying that the funds had been reversed. I called paypal the day I recieved the first email and they tol me basically that I was shyt out of luck. That I lost my phone and dont get the money! Does any one know what I need to do? Here is a link to the ebay auction and the guys Name and Address! LMK if anyone lives close by this guy!!!

i work within 3 miles of that address, but that is most likely a business address....mostly warehouses in that area...i guess i could show up and be like gimme your cell phone but i dunno if that will work

I guess the plan would be to keep zero balance in your PayPal account and transfer any money to another account as soon as possible.

I suspect calling this guy will do no good, because he probably planned this all along. He's just a crook!

 

did you put insurance on the item? thru the mail?

make a claim stating the buyer never recieved it and u want ur money for it

 

I never heards to try tell him its your phone!!!!

That is my plan from now on!

i sent it thru UPSP Priority mail!!

 

File a mail fraud case with USPS.

Call the local police and file a report with their fraud department as well.

And make sure to consistently keep on top of this!
