Well my z is in the body shop getting a new body kit, and paint job. It's been in there for 6 weeks tomorrow. On Friday I called to see if it was going to be ready so I could have my girlfriend pick it up. And to my surprise I'm told that they haven't received my body kit yet. The owner of the shop told me that he only ordered kits from 1 place, and it would be another 3 weeks before he could get it in. So he asked me to go online to some website and pick another kit. I had a look, but didn't see anything I really liked. So I make a few calls and find a place in Cali that can have the kit to him by Wednesday. When I called him back to give him the info he may it pretty obvious that he wasn't going to order the kit from them. He already has been paid for the job, so I can't take my car to another shop. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I should handle this situation?

 

Since it sounds like you paid him for the entire job in advance, he probably wants the cheapest kit possible. Sounds like he's trying to make the most profit he can. Greedy bastard.

Since you're not here, your leverage is reduced. Call him and offer to fund an additional part of the kit you can have there by Wednesday. Looks like it's either that or wait for him to decide he's ready too do it.

...and then never go to that body shop again!
