Seems like it's time for a local Tampa/Clearwater/St.Petersburg Mini Meet! This Florida G35 Club Mini Meet will give everyone a chance to spiff up their G35's and get everything cleaned, shiny, and ready to go for our big Lokey All-Florida Meet on September 8th.

This will also give us a chance to congratulate Daniel on his graduation from the University of South Florida on August 11th. Lyndon (w0ady) and AFitchTLS (Jason) will be zooming in to town from Jacksonville, so it will be a really fun time.

Let's plan the Mini Meet for a week from this coming Sunday, August 12th, at Quaker Steak and Lube in Clearwater. We'll meet at the South end of the parking lot around 4:00pm and go inside to eat at 5:00pm. That will give us a bit of time for everyone to get there and also shoot the breeze a bit. We probably want to be a bit careful giving test runs this time... The PoPo's were very nice to us at our last Mini Meet... We don't want to press our luck!



For those of you that have never been to Quaker Steak and Lube, it's a great place to meet because they have loads of parking space, good food, and they don't mind if you stand around outside and talk about cars. Here's a Mapquest Link to Quaker Steak and Lube.

actually i wont be able to make it. i have to fill in that weekend sorry.

 

ill most likely be out cause i will be recovering from a long night, my parents will still be here, and i fly back to missouri the next day.

ill try to stop by for a little while though.

 

I might be able to make it. I want to, it'll probably be one of the last ones I'll be able to do around here for a while. No guarantees on me having my g35 though.

 

I no longer sport that name, LoL, and i'm not sure if i'll make it down that weekend. It will only depend if I can get my fenders rolled before I get my new tires put on, and right now it's not looking so great cause I don't want to do it myself incase of cracking paint, or dimples in the actual roll. I have a guy who will do it for $150 + or so, but me personally from other posts i've read, that's quite pricey when I could just rent the machine myself. IF everything goes according to plan, then I will def. be down there. If not, then I'll be down there for the ALL FL Meet instead.

I had planned on being in Tampa during that weekend but wasn't expecting the meet to occur in late Sunday afternoon. Not sure if it's gonna happen but is it possible to switch the time to Saturday the 11th so that way most of us won't have to worry about work/school the next day Sunday?

I originally planned the Meet on Sunday the 12th because Dan was graduating at USF on Saturday and Lyndon and Jason were coming down for that. Now it seems that they all might miss the Meet.

Would it be better for most people if we changed the Meet to Saturday the 11th?

I'm not sure if i'll be able to make the Lokey meet now either as a friend of mine is getting married the same day @ 2pm. I'm working on getting my fenders taken care of so I can get my tires, so if it works out, then i'll try to come down for Dan's graduation and your meet that you're trying to organize.
