My car died coming home from coconut creek!!!!

so im on my way home (kendall) and i get off the turnpike onto 12th street and all of a sudden my car just bogs down completely, no throttle response AT ALL!!! i press the gas, NOTHING. i switch to neutral then drive, NOTHING. so im idling across the street and i finally find a complex and turn in. i park and make a visual inspection, are all my cars parts still there. they are. i turn off the car. i go to turn it back on and it takes a good 5 second to turn on, then 3 seconds. it progressively got back to normal but in park when i blip the gas i hear a very low backfire like noise after i let off the gas. and now the SES light is on!!!! WTF!!!!!

someone help!

I think I had the same problem: let's see. If you floor the car, in park or neutral or in gear, it won't go over about 1200 rpms at all. Therefore, it won't even shift into second gear and will never go more than about 10mph. If that is you, I had the exact same problem, and Infiniti says it was because of my gas cap being loose. This didn't make sense to me because I drove over 100 miles since I had filled up and started and turned the car off and on twice, but that was teh explanation I had. Either way, they had to tow my car in and reset everything--all under warranty. Hope this helps...

broken car or having to re-enter your seat position....it's a fairly easy choice.
