Lokey Infiniti G37 Unveiling - Pictures
I was invited to the Lokey Infiniti G37 Unveiling tonight and it turned out to be a terrific evening. The centerpiece of the night was of course the new Infiniti G37 Coupe. Lokey had no shortage of G37's as they were still arriving right before the evening's event.

Inside the main showroom, everyone waited while the G37 remained under wraps. We weren't actually waiting around, Lokey had a nice event planned with refreshments for everyone. There was quite a crowd in attendance.

At 6:15pm the new G37 Coupe was revealed!!!

Lokey also had several G37's outside. I have to say the the G37 looks much better in person than most of the pictures I've seen so far. My pictures probably aren't any different, so everyone should get out and see a G37 in person.

I was fortunate enough to go on a test ride in the Lakeshore Blue G37 Coupe. I think it was Lakeshore Blue... I know it was not Lakeshore Slate... It's a new, darker color. A friend is buying a G37 and Jim Matthews was nice enough to let us take this one on a test drive.

These are the new 19" sport wheels... coupled with the nicest G35 calipers since the Brembos on the '03 and '04 6MT Coupes. Gorgeous wheels and brakes... check out those 14" front rotors... very nice!

Rear wheels and brakes were also very sharp.

The best part of the new G37, from my point of view, is the all new 3.7 liter 330 horsepower engine. It is all new for the G37 Coupe and supports several performance options that have not been seen in the factory Coupes before. My favorite are the immediately noticeable symmetrical dual air inlets.

Note that each inlet has its own individual MAF sensor. I suppose each cylinder bank can be tuned individually? Certainly means that the G37 ECU is a bit different than the G35 ECU.

The interior is also much improved... along the lines of the M.

Steering wheel is starting to look like a Formula 1 car with all the buttons and gizmos... gizmos are good!

It was a fun evening... Nice to chat with John Oliva, Joe, Mike, Christian, and Jim Matthews.
Thanks to Lokey Infiniti for inviting me... I had a great time!

They are functionally the same as the earlier Brembos... 4 piston in the front and 2 piston in the back. They have to be much superior to the brakes we have on our late model G35's...

It's the Cruise Control Sensor. The car will automatically slow down if you get too close.
Intelligent Cruise Control (ICC) with Preview Braking, which provides a precise following distance from the vehicle ahead. It also identifies sudden braking situations with laser sensors to determine distance and relative speed of the vehicle ahead in the same lane and “pre-pressurises” the Brake Assist system before the driver steps on the brake pedal.

John, nice post as always!
Thank you to you and the other FGC members who attended the event last night. This new car is certainly exciting, and it was nice to see everyone again.

so i would have made it last night, but yea...
i actually drove the car on monday when i was there. it doesnt really feel and faster then my car. which is probably due the extra weight that the car now has. the paddle shifters are pretty sweet though, i wouldnt mind having that steering wheel.
i dont really like the looks of the outside. the car looks way to bubbly from the rear and looks like its 10 feet of the ground. the new rear tailights are horrible. the moving headlights though is nice

i like the new G its a nice car but IMO, and this is just my opinion, the interior is the best part about it.. the rest of the car seems kinda girly to me.. in a few years the headlights will be going into the rear fenders..
