I've been in IT for about 6 years and recently earned my CCNA certification from Cisco scoring a perfect 1000.

I am now on the CCNP path, and hopefully one day become a CCIE.

If there are any other G35 Enthusiasts who are interested in the Networking IT field, let me know.

I have several helpful resources to share, or if you just need a hand or a point in the right direction.

I have an expired CCNA, and I'm getting my CCDA and RSSSE next month. I took all the courses required for CCIP 3 years ago, but had to forgo the exams and cert due to work responsibilities.

CCIE is outside of my area of interest. It's a good cert, but it's no guarantee of a high salary. I make more than our in-house CCIE, and I'm a network systems engineer... it's more of a matter of experience over textbook-based skills when it comes to getting paid.

 

im not as advanced but my company wants me to become Linux certified...any suggestions??

 

I am graduate in 2 month of BS IT security. I got no idea what gone happen after. what should i do to jump start of my career?

Most of the time a CCIE must already have the experience to just pass the lab. It costs almost 10k to take it. Our CCIE makes over 100k and thats good for FL. We have a 29 yr old who passed just the CCIE written, not the lab and he's at a 3 quarters that. I figure it will take me about 1-2 years just to complete my CCNP. Im looking for more motivation, hence my willingness to help.

Our Security team uses both CheckPoint and Cisco PIX Firewalls. Might look into that if you want more advanced certifications.

If you really want to get ahead, try the CCSP certification (Cisco Certified Security Professional), itidates advanced knowledge and skills required to secure Cisco networks.

Please only use the Pass4Sure as a final study or you can get burned during an interview. I sat one where a CCNP didnt even know what administrative distance was.
