big problem...

So Monday as i start my car, i realize that i have a bunch of trash in my cup holder, so i turn go to the garage to throw it in the garbage. Next thing i know my car is dead, but the radio is still on. I take the key out and start it back up, it cranks for about 4 seconds before turning on (usually cranks up instantly). I still drove it to school and about 10 total start ups later that day. Everything seemed to be fine. No issues this morning either, but as of 30 minutes ago, i went to turn it on, and started to back out of my driveway, but than decided to pull up to make sure i didnt hit the tree (its curvy driveway lol). And it died on me AGAIN. Now it has a CEL and the SLIP light is on. So confused now. Got school 4 days a week so its going to be rough to take it to the dealership (maybe take it to Mike Shad Nissan?). And with my parents being in Thailand untill the middle of this month and the weather, i just dont know what to do!

Someone throw me some ides about WTF is up with my car. Thank you so much...

Maybe it's time for a new battery. Once your regular battery discharges a couple of times, it holds a charge less and less.

have you checked the connections on the battery, they may have gotten loose

Just take the battery to an Auto Zone are almost any parts store they will test it for you for free. The radio does not take much power so your batt could be bad AND still play your radio.

The radio was on without the switch being turned on? Or were you playing the radio which may have drained the battery?

i cranked the car and it started without a sutter, as i got out to throw some trash away, i say it took 45 seconds before the engine died off. yet the radio was still playing. so i turned the key to the off position, and it took like 5 seconds to crank with alot of stuttering. i dont understand i JUST got this battery 2-3 weeks ago. now the check engine light is on along with the "SLIP" light. im just worried that it will have something to do with my intake or somethin, becuase a guy in the normal forums said he had somethin similar happen, and it was his Throttle Body, but he has yet to confirm if hes all stock or not.

thanks alot fo the replies guys. if you have any more suggestions keep throwing them at me. i am at school right now so when i get home i am going to redo the whole battery installation process, and hope that my car is reliable like i want it lol. but yea now i get the pimp the vtec...HONDA ODDESSEY BABY! lol...

the only thing i have is an intake, and the guy on the regular forums said he was experiancing the same problems and he had a faulty throttle body, so i am only assuming its similar...

BUT today when i get home, i turned the car on, and drive back and forth in the driveway. As i was in reverse i saw the RPMs dropping about 200-300, nothing major but i noticed it. So i backed up about 2-3 feet, than threw it in drive, and it died. Do you think it has anything to do with the drivetrain? Now i am real worried. Thanks for your help guys, espescially you Gilley...

the closest pep boys is about 10-15 minute drive from my house, and the dealership is about a 45 minute trip. So I really want to find out if its major to get towed to the dealership, or take my chances and drive up there. Thanks again...

or buy a code scanner. It's all speculation what your problem is until we have more info. Even then it's questionable but we can speculate better with more info.
