what do you guys think of using location tags in front of our posts to help keep things simple for the people who barely visit? it wouldnt be for all threads, just things like meets or local sales. it would be the first thing in a thread title like:

JAX - meet 5/6 mcdonalds

if you think its a good idea, we can come up with a set list of tags and sticky it to help everyone sort better.

NFL - north fl
CFL - central fl
SFL - south fl
JAX - jacksonville
ORL - orlando
TAM - tampa
MIA - miami
CLW - clearwater
BOC - boca
HOL - hollywood

you get the idea. what do you think?

 

dont the meet theres almost always include the location in them whent they are posted??

 

I agree, usually the meets have the location in them. I think all for sale posts should have a location tag on them. Damn, if they could only make that mandatory on all posts in the classifieds section.

Its pretty retarded to have to pm someone to find out where they are located when you're trying to buy something from them.

 

If people really want to help, they can put their location in their profile location... so that it shows up on the screen in every message...

Click User CP (Control Panel) at the top of the screen, then pick Edit Profile and fill in the Location.

im just saying for quicker browsing when looking at topics but its all good.

 

i like the idea when it applies to meets, but as long as everyone fills out there location we should be good to go
