yeah according to Douglas @ Lokey it's that bad, it won't move even after they did the Slave & Master Cylender's, which now at this point it's obvious i didn't need to spend that $500!!! ouch! and yeah now i hear that i need this... i've only put 4,000 miles on the car since i bought it from a private party so i'm just a little T-d' off at this point to say the least. i saw the breakdown of Lokey's fees and they were charging $1,100 for a flywheel!!!! the whole clutch job estimate w/labor was $2,300 plus the $500 i already paid that didn't fix anything
... so at this point i really hate my car!
I have my mechanic looking into this for me tomorrow he's gonna call a buddy of his because my mechanic is semi-retired and only does small jobs for me now. and a whole new clutch job is a little tough for him w/hand tools and jack stands.
O well i guess.... thanks to all you guys that have lent some advice... just been swamped with work lately haven't had a chance to call, and i NEED my car back i'm driving my wife's (automatic non-turbo) 07' PT Cruiser i just bought her and can't take it any more!!!!

o well...
o well...The unfortunate thing about buying a used car is that sometimes people get rid of them because something is wrong...
I'd try to take advantage of the situation and get a better clutch... Maybe a pressure plate with a bit more clamping power... Nice disk... Personally, I'd go with Lokey installing it. They've always done a tremendous job for me and I trust them. That's worth a bit extra for me.
