I am in the process of getting a new clutch (and possibly flywheel) but everyone is scaring me with the whole "noise" issue with the Flywheel.

I am usually annoyed by just a vibration in the car, i cant imagine a loud noise under my ***...

I just wanna see how loud it really is.

is it true the Exedy is quieter than the JWT?
what about the ACT is it quieter then the JWT & Exedy?

i have the jim wolf clutch and fly and love it. chatter is minimal except when the a/c is on. nothing out of the ordinary though. where in mia are u

i always have my ac on. even in the winter...
i hear others say it is louder than a barrel of monkeys...

im soooo confused!!!!

 

it isn't the flywheel that makes noise. the non dual-mass flywheels cause a resonsance in the transmission gears at very low rpms. I only ever hear it if I floor the car from 1500 rpms. and considering that I never do that, I don't have any noise issues. BTW, I have an ACT Prolite chromoly flywheel....approx 13.5#

 

is it actual chatter that you hear or a squeal?
