I was thinking when I'm back home for the holidays that I may get my windows tinted because I don't really trust any of the shops here.


Any good recommendations of installers?

he did an awesome job on all my other cars but for some reason i had someone else do my G and i hate it.

do you have a preference for a particular brand tint? last i checked they use solarguard.

 

I have a friend that does really good tint work. (very professional) and he'll come to you. He's usually tinting every weekend. He does automotive and also commercial/residential buildings. If you're interested, i'm sure I can get you a really good deal. Plus he stands behind his work. I snagged a pic off his myspace page, hehehe... here's the plotter he uses. Types in a car make/model , and the plotter cuts out the exact template for the G. Pretty cool. (company name is Cool Conceptz)

 

they will do a good job there but won't put on anything darker than 15% just so you know.

 

what brand does the tint specialist use?

 

If you're in the area.... go to Cool Reflections near the Chevy Dealership but before Knightbox Rd, basically acrosss from Club Liquid.

Rolling Sound does it awesome!! you can get it under 15% if you want.

hahaha... I use to work with JB at the "OLD" avenue store. I have worked at basically all the RS's in town off and on for about 6 years.

silvernole12, Where in Jax will you be. I see your Location says GA... Depending on what part of town your on, my best friend owns 3 Rollin Sounds (Cassat, Lem Turner, and Atlantic Beach)... Great tinters at all 3 and I can prolly hook you up for being a fellow G...

How much does it normally cost to tint a whole car? Talked to my friend with the tinting business. Said he can tint a G, any percentage tint you want, for $100. He did my car, my wife's car...both nice work. If anyone is interested, hit me up. Jon.

 

Damn... That's hard to beat. Gilbert is a good guy too. I've never asked him to do anything for me but for $100 might need to hit him up.

 

They use Lumar.

I got 3M color stable from Advanced Window Tinting off Hood Ave (they have a plotter).

 

That's not bad. I would do that. Puts a couple bucks in a friends pocket too !!! I would only be able to get a a couple bucks cheaper ($90) maybe....

Usually your looking about $139.99 for a 2 door car, normal film. About $20 more for the good film. $159 for a 4 door, normal film. About $20 more for the good film.
