So I ran my car for the first time this weekend..

Went to Countyline this past Friday. Not sure if any of you were out there or not, but I saw at least 4 other G's running and talked to the owner's of a couple that will run next week.

Anyways, I had a ton of fun. Even though its just an 1/8 mile track, I like it a lot. In fact, I feel like it makes it more of a driver's race. I saw plenty of fast cars get beat by slower cars just because of better launches/shifts which is always fun to see.

My first run was a total embarrassment to all G owner's everywhere lol.

Mistake #1- I went to burnout and forgot to turn my traction control off... The tires hooked and I took off like I was trying to launch from there.
Mistake #2- I had my music way up trying to hype myself up. Forgot that I had the car in Manumatic mode and couldn't hear myself redlining in first and didn't shift correctly at all...

After getting all of the butterflies out, the next couple runs went nicely.

Just curious as to what a good 1/8th mile time would be for our cars. I saw in a thread on these forums that someone with my same car (07 G35s AT sedan) ran a 13.65 1/4 with an 1/8th time of 8.9. I was running in the 9.2's pretty consistently, and I was running on some HEAVY 20" painted rims (didnt have time to throw my stocks on). I'll be out there again this coming Friday night working on getting those times lower. Hope to actually see some of you guys out there this time.

A girlfriend of mine has a video of one of my runs, I'll post it when she uploads it.

my 60 times could have been better. as i said, i was on HEAVY 20" painted rims with chrome lips. they didnt help me much off the line to say the least. the 60' times were in the 2.2-2.3's (if i recall correctly) for the most part. my trap was pretty consistently around 77mph at the end of the 1/8th. im sure with lighter stocks on, my 60 will improve.

as for the girlfriend comment up above, it was a girl--friend, not my girlfriend only have one girlfriend at the moment.
