Escort 8500

I have an Escort 8500 purchased in early 2004 from Best Buy. It is still like new and works just fine. I just upgraded to a Valentine One...

Anyway, I have the corded plug with the mute button, the windshield mount and even one of the "Mike's Mounts" that mounts to the rearview mirror for our Z/Gs. I do not have the straight cord for the Escort because I just left it where it was for use with my V1. That said, I will include the straight cord for the V1 and assume it works vice/versa, but that is up to you if you want it. I will dig around the garage tonight and see if I still have the box and original case and packaging for the Escort.

I can post a pic or two later. I'd prefer local or someone in Florida as I travel quite a bit throughout the state. I am asking $140 for all of it.

On full auto it really picks up a lot more of the false alarms than the Escort, but the arrows and "bogey" counter are great. I'll be on the highway this week, so I can really check it out then...

yup those are exactly the advantages and disadvantages over the 8500. i appreciate less false alarms and i can usually figure out where a cop is 90% of the time. let me know how it goes.

Yeah I make the long trip from South Florida to Tallahassee all the time and I don't know how I've done it so much WITHOUT one of these. It will find a lot of use!

Don't sell the Passport before your 30 days is up to return the V1. All those false alarms because of its super sensitivity drove me nuts. I had to send it back.

Honestly, the only feature I don't like is the fact that it has an automatic dimmer for the display...what a PITA...I like the brighter, flashing lights in case I'm zoned out or something...
