You don't have to worry about your tint like everyone says, but if you want a new FL tag, they will visually inspect your car. I have always had about 15% all around on all my vehicles with no prob.

not true at all yo take it from me. maybe its a lil diff up north or my windows r just dark as a **** but ive been pulled for my tint and tint only a few times down here. ive had cops pass by me, slow down/pull over and then pull me. last week as i was pulling out of the plaza i work in a cop was driving past then i see him slow down and get to the turning lane so i went ahead and did the samething behind him until i was crusing at 10mph on a 45 mph road i had no choice but to get in front of him sure enough he pulled me b/c my tint was too dark!

I was pulled over by a State Trooper on I-95 in St. Johns County, just for my windows. And it was raining, I was doing the Speed Limit due to the weather. I had 20%, and had to get them replaced. I did go 3 years before that with no ticket on my Z. I now have 30% all around on a black car.

It's up to the cop. The cops can use something like illegal tint to perform a pretextual stop to look for other violations. Some cops won't care, but others might stop you because your car looks a certain way or you're in a certain part of town.

had that tint on my car for well over two years. I was pulled over once for a speeding ticket and the cop didn't even bother to say anything about the tinting, but he gave me the speeding ticket

My sister is running 5% on her sedan in Pinellas county with no problems. If a cop happens to pull you over for something like speeding then be prepared to pay $89/window that is illegally tinted.
I used to have my front windshield tinted 35% but a few cops that I know told me to be careful b/c they more care about the front windshield being tinted than the side ones. The front tint was affecting my radar detector's performance so I eventually had it removed.

I have 5% on all windows expect the windshield. I have been pulled overtwice in 2 and a 1/2 years of ownership. Both times they let me go with a warning.

I'm sure I was pulled over because of the look of the car (lowered, aftermarket wheels, and dark tint.) They were probably expecting to find some punk; They are usually shocked to find a normal-looking, 30-something family man. One time I was dressed for work (coat and tie) and the other time I had my wife and son in the car. The cops did the usual of checking my DL and realized that I have no tickets in almost 10 years.
