Hey guys! It was great meeting all of you and cruising up to the meet. I had a great time! I figured out why I won 2 items at the raffle! I gave a bum at McDonalds that morning 5 dollars and told him to have a good day! Maybe I got all of us good luck! haha. That Stillen engine brace is awesome! Still have yet to install the camber arms and my springs. I will probably be back in Venice again this coming weekend, Any of you willing to help me do those? I will bring some beer! haha. Cheapest I could find in Gville is 300 dollars!

I might be able to help you out on some of it as long as you have a place to work on the car. Let me know if you need jack stands or tools, I can probably bring some as well depending on what you need.

awesome, how does the home install work? Will we be able to put on the camber arms also? I am assuming if we do this I will have to go and get an alignment immediately after...? I have a few options for locations just need some help and know-how . I Have a jack and jack stands, is there anything else specific to this I would need? Also when would be good for you guys to help me or just come hang out? . Sat afternoon? I know you guys were talking about Lanning tire. Were you refering to the one in Venice?

Actually if the springs are brand new then you should wait to get an alignment for a week or 2 to let the spring settle. And also I think a spring compressor is needed, I really dont know what exactly they do, but every DIY I have read about spring/coilover installation has needed one. Someone will be able to shed some light on this.

Definitely need a spring compressor in order to change out the front springs. I ended up renting some from autozone but they were kind of crappy so I took the front suspension out and brought it up to firestone and the guy there was nice enough to remove the front springs for me (tipped him $10).

If you are going to do the camber arms the same time, I guess you can just adjust them to the same settings as the stock ones and then take it to get aligned ones the springs settle as BBS stated.

Saturday would probably be the best day for me to help out.

I'v been thinking about it and I think I'm going to install my s-techs this weekend just for a bit, till I get coilovers. Now I just have to figure out this whole spring compressor situation.

I read a DIY last night on installing a rear camber kit, and it seems a lot easier then changing the springs. And yes, you install the toe arms and then let a shop do the alinment for you, to get you back in spec, or get as close as you can.

I will take all the help I can get! Just to throw it out there, I am great at electronics so any help you guys need with anything like that I will help you out. I have an entire elecronics shop up here in Gainesville at Gainesville Fire Rescue where I work while going to school. I can do pretty much anything, even make your entire dash blue like that accordfreak guys but that would take a while haha. So especially those that help me out with this I owe you one! I just created a home-made O2 simulator last night, haven't installed it yet but pretty sure it will do the trick!

Yeah from what I remember, the camber arms are relatively easy to install. It's the SPC toe bolt that takes a little time since you have to drill out the opening to allow for greater adjustment. I believe the stock toe bolt allows for some adjustment though.

Also here's a link to a great DIY for suspension that I used when I did my basics.

They say a spring compressor isnt really necessary, if you have pretty low springs. The only part I'm confused about it removing the shock with spring.

Edit: Oh wait I get it now. You remove the spring from the shock after shock/spring is off the car.

And I read some where not sure if its exactly accurate but, the new Gs, have a larger hole to insert the toe bolt, and does not need cut. However I'm not sure if this is for sure.
