Import Parts Pro Short Block

Has anybody purchased a short block from imports parts Pro they seem to be a little cheaper than everyone else. I'm just wondering about the quality or do you get what you paid for I can't afford to do this twice. I did a little research on the Web can't find anything about their engine building experience or is this some guy selling stuff from his bedroom. I just need a little more information before sending somebody that kind of money.

So far from what I've seen...no negative press on this vendor. Import Parts Pro is a site vendor/sponsor on 350zmotoring.com forum. I would ask there and search on their forum to double check for any negative feedback. So far I have not seen any.

Or you could call Jeremey Tibbs/Performance Factory on a price a built short block to find out a quote.

definitely make sure you talk to some people who have purchased from them. pf and fp are 2 established shops on this site and a short block is something id rather spend the $ on for quality.

Thanks guys for the info I'll give performance factory and forge performance a call and see what kind of price they come up with. Let's try and keep this thread going so we can see what kind of feedback on the best vendor for a short block. Cosworth is a amazing company and builds a really good engines for race teams that can support that kind of quality.

Mike,

You should really give Jeremy at Performance Factory a call. He's right up in Orlando and he does more G/Z work than anyone on the East coast. You can't go wrong with him. Plus, he's also an HKS pro dealer....so he can perfectly setup your VPro. I'm good friends with him, and do trust him to do work on my car. As you know, I do all my own wrenching on my sedan, but I go up to Performance Factory when it comes my tuning. I trust him implicitly.

Andrew

I think thats kyle, he's pretty cool. Never bought a shortblock from him before, but I bought a bunch of misc. stuff and it couldn't have gone more smooth.... gave me some great advice for my build too...
