saw a crazy crash

just had to share this from last night, totally surreal experience...

was driving north on kernan around 2am, almost home. i saw this blur go past the other way and i was like whoa, thats pretty fast for a 45. i looked in my side mirror real quick and saw him clip 1 of the orange barrels. knew instantly it wasnt going to be good as the road turned left a little. hit my buddy pat who was passed out in the passengers seat.

so i looked back up real quick in the rear view mirror and was like oh ****! i saw dirt flying up and then i spinning lights. (not like jasons, the other way lol) so i was like crap, i turned around and pulled up real quick. called 911 and ran up to the car. kid was barely conscious in the drivers seat, didnt look too bad when i checked him with my flashlight. kept trying to talk to him to keep him awake. he barely remembered anything and was babbling about random crap.

couple minutes later, like 6 cops pulled up. apparently they had a dui checkpoint and he might have run from them. he was doing triple digits on beach (45mph). i told them what i saw and we hung around for about 15 minutes before they let us go. more cops, fire rescue, paramedics, etc had all showed up by then.

it was easily 200 ft from where i saw him lose control to where his car landed. he rolled at least a couple times, hitting a power pole so hard the top 10 ft snapped off where the lines connect and were hanging between 2 further poles. the passenger side of his car was completely smashed in and the trunk was all ****ed up as well. his sub box popped out like 6 ft away. he was lucky he wasnt carrying anyone with him.

sorry i dont have any pics, too many cops there and there was nothing when i checked this morning except crap from his trunk. anyways, just be careful out there guys. dont want anything like this happening to any of you.

Crazy story man. Glad to hear the other driver is allright. Sounds like he would've been way better off going with the DUI versus the wipeout.

The stupidity of jacksonville drivers east/south east of the St. Johns does not amaze me anymore. People just don't give a **** and it gets worse the further east you get. They are ****ing nuts on Hodges. Hell someone hit a girl jogging on Sutton Park Drive right by where I work a few months ago. The *******s kept going.

*******s on Kernan don't surprise me considering UNF is right there. Considering no one else was hurt I am glad he wrecked and lived to think about what he did.

There is an accident waiting to happen on 95 South/ JTB east in the morning 8 o clock rush. Some girl in a DG Echo rides the **** out every morning driving like a bat from hell constantly switching lanes and cutting people off.
