V, i totally understand that things happen and sometimes more important things are going on. My comments were not directed at you or anyone in particular. You dont have to apologize for anything.
My main problem is that as you all know it's not the first, second or third time a meet has fallen apart because of people backing out. All im saying is that im not gonna spend time on setting things up anymore for weekly/whatever meets. If someone feels like setting something up then by all means do so.
Our meets are random at times and of course not mandatory, which means that people just show up if they want to. Thats fine, but if we wanna be considered a car club/crew then we should all step up and try to maintain a normal/reg schedule with events/things to do. Maybe Im out to lunch here but standing in a parking lot just doesnt really appeal to me anymore.
I really like hanging out with you all (even Lenox sometimes), really enjoy helping anyone out with installs and learning new things, but i just got really upset/angry about this week's meet. We had 9+ people sign up and then down to maybe 3.
I realize that maybe im just overreacting, and that im also pissed because i've only driven my car 3 days in 4 weeks (army training and still have the damn loaner till friday) and really been wanting to install my Osiris flash.
If anyone felt like i was directing anything at them, dont.
I will still continue to attend any of the big meets and most if not all have my cell phone, call if you need anything but from now on i will not be very active on here. I leave for Washington State once again next Thursday for another 2 weeks, see some of you when i get back.

^^ i understand what you mean dan.
I live like 30 min away from orlando so its hard for me to make it to most of these meets. And most of the time i work, so i have to request days off of work to go to a car meet. I would love to get a weekly meet going but i would hate to commit to something and drive 30 min away to be by myself, or just have 2-3 other people show up.

I totally know what Dan is saying here... And i know that you weren't directing anything at anyone specifically, but I do feel bad that this meet fell apart. I know from personal experience that in clubs, club members are not always reliable and over-commit themselves. I used to be President of a club that had 65 members and when we needed 20 people to help run a fund-raiser, it was like, yeah right! Good luck! I had to twist peoples arms to get them to show up. Fortunately we had a team as a part of the club, and those who didn't show up to club events didn't get to compete on the team. We can't really do that in this situation, but I am with you in the sense that I really wish we could get our morale and attendance numbers to go up. Maybe we should try to do another lunch meet on a Saturday or something again like PF Changs. We had pretty good attendance for that. I dunno, just an idea.

Sorry to hear this had to come down like that Dan. I know exactly the feeling when people back out at the last minute and you're left with hands up in the air. I used to plan out meets for ClubLexus members when I lived up North years ago. Meets were successful in places like CT, NYC, NJ and in Philly too, but these meets usually took place on weekends and they're more like once every couple months types of meets. I kinda miss those days
As I mentioned in the door lock switch thread, I talked with Ian about setting up a tech day type of meet sometime this month July in one of the parks near UCF (possibly Downey Park). Of course this would happen on a weekend date, possibly Sunday since most of us don't have work or school obligations. I'm thinking either the 12th, 19th or 26th date. Let me know what you guys think.
