most people are off work tomorrow, including me, cuz of the storm.

im not very impressed yet, but in a few hours we will see what its made of...its moving more south of us now, but it still looks like we are gettin the nasty side of it.

Really looks like Brevard County is getting the worst. I heard almost 20" of rain....does that sound right?

just got home. worked 4-12. had to go through downtown and up 95 since dames point was closed. so annoying. took 95 to butler home but ended up going to the beach instead. chilled there for a hour til they closed. weather isnt too bad, just on and off with a bit of wind. was able to do 60-70 mostly on the roads. lots of idiots doing 30-40 with their hazards on ugh.

The rain and wind hasn't stopped yet here in Orlando since late Wed. night and might continue on for the rest of today. Looks like I'll have to find a parking garage or someplace to install new parts on the car.

and dont worry fire, you're cool in here.

so was able to hit 100 on the way home. just slight rain/wind. worked again 4-12 with no real big stuff. saw a few cars that slid off though - mostly on/off-ramps and corners on the highway. guess people cant drive, o well.

I take it you have seen the video of the guy who got thrown into a wall while he was kite surfing during Fay...for those of you who haven't seen it take a look at the link above. It shows what happens when you mix kite surfing with 50+ mph winds. Looks like a heck of a lot of fun until he hit the not so soft immovable object...
I heard on the news today that this guy finally woke up from his coma - he didn't remember anything about what happened. They showed him the video, and he said that was the stupidest thing he's ever done ( big understatement), and said the next time he'll wear a helmet.
