Super-chips

Super-chips, mostly domestic tuning company wants to develop a hand-held tuner for the g35 and 350z. They are asking for both auto's and 6spd. They usually keep your vehicle for 3-4 days and provide you a rental. They have shop insurance so anything occurs to your vehicle its coverd. They will give you a Cortex tuner in exchange for using your vehicle. They have already developed the one for the qx56 / armada / titan. Anyone interested or want more details let me kno.

here is info on qx56 tune:

most of these "chips" lean out cars to give extra power at the expense of engine life. id have to see a/f ratios on a dyno before i trust anything like this for our cars. its not an american v8 that you can tune out, our engines already run at high efficiencies.

ur right woady, they will prolly lean out a/f ratios (becuz of conservative stock a/f ratios). this isnt an actual chip, its a hand-held that connects to obd port. they are going to provide me copies of all my dynos including baseline. they will just pulling code and getting some stock numbers from my engine for now. the tune/hand held will not be ready for a while. supposedly the cortex tuner will come 2yr power train warranty ( not sure how that works tho?).

every car is different so i dont see how you can just apply a program for all g35s and expect it to be safe. if you ask any tuner for our cars, they can tell you that our cars very from rich to lean from the factory. they arent ALL "conservative". its good that they are doing your car on a dyno but just be careful of anything tuned for another car that people want to try on your car.

Something else i didnt kno about infiniti's.
They want to dyno several 6mt and several auto both g and 350.
They have already broken nissan / infiniti code in tuning qx56 / armada.
Super-chips began in England in 1983 and now owned by MSD.

tru. most of these companies take an average of the cars they test and use that to develop their tuning programs. however, nothing can beat dyno testing your own car or at the very least, tuning it while driving. best of luck though.

I used to use MSD ignitions in the past. Good company and good hardware... but, that was a long time ago.

Sounds similar to other OBD-II tuner products... Possibly better than nothing, but never as good as a real-time dyno tune... People just don't want to spend the money or time...

Super-chips still looking for vehicles. They will give you a the Cortex Tuner (once testing is complete) in exchange for allowing them to dyno your vehicle. They keep your vehicle in their facility, indoors, for about 2-3 days and provide you with a rental and fill your car up with fuel upon return.

From super-chips:
We are needing either a G35 two door, or 350Z for testing next week for a week. Do you still have your contacts that are interested? We have been having a difficult time finding cars that aren’t all ragged out the make us afraid to test.

We need:
2004-2006 350Z Cars (preferably auto trans ones, but either will do)
2005- 2006 G35 2 door
(as stock as possible)

Can you help out?
